Example Playgrounds

Meggetland.

Russell Leisure have recently installed their exciting new Spiderkid product at Meggetland, Edinburgh. The site, nestling between a new housing development and the old Meggetland sports field and hall provides a stimulating and eye-catching feature in this new landscape.

The use of the stainless steel Spiderkid Araneus product, combined with colourful wetpour has provided a stimulating and exciting environment for children to play while at the same time, adding aesthetic appeal to the surroundings.

Woking

In 2005, Russell Leisure were successful in securing a 10 year contract with Woking Borough Council. The contract is overseen and managed by Geoff Ward at Woking and requires us to consult with local groups and key stakeholders in the design, development and refurbishment of play areas throughout the Woking district. Once the full consultation programme has been undertaken, Russell Leisure then modify the design in line with responses and local expectations. 10 sites were refurbished in 2005/06 including St Peter's Rec, Sanway Road, Wheatsheaf and Boundary Road. These were completed on time and to the agreed budget and specification.

2007 sees a new programme in place, including the major refurbishment of Woking Park and Goldsworth Park. In addition, there will be some local neighbourhood schemes earmarked for upgrading and refurbishment.

Bonnington

A local school chose the Ludo Zoulou product for their playground. This exciting, colourful and stimulating play unit fits neatly in the playground and the use of timber provides tactile warmth and softness for young children.

White Park, Gorgie

With limited space and the need to provide a challenging environment, Edinburgh City Council selected a unit from the Russell Berliner rope range. The unit we provided is a specially built rope climbing frame with high and low level slides and access net. The main feature of the site was its compact area and this unit provided the optimum number of play opportunities and activities within a small space.
