Anti-Graffiti Technology
A unique powder coat process which prevents graffiti from permanently bonding
Russell Leisure now offer as standard a fully hot dip galvanized and powder coated process which has been developed to prevent almost all graffiti mediums from permanently adhering to its surface. The powder coat has a high polyurethane and silicon content which is then baked on to the metal to produce a hard, impermeable surface. The result is a less porous and extremely resilient surface which has been tested to resist aerosol paints, enamel sprays, water-based markers, permanent markers, lipstick and shoe polish. Any graffiti can then be easily removed using a specially formulated remover illustrated below. This process conforms to BS EN 13438:2005 and is suitable for outdoor use.
The coating has been specially formulated to have excellent anti-graffiti and stain resistant properties, while maintaining its aesthetic appearance. Anti-Graffiti Application Conditions
Galvanized and Powder Coated to BS EN 13438:2005
Russell Leisure is one of only a few companies who can guarantee that this application is carried out in full accordance with the BS EN 13438:2005 standard. In order to meet this standard, the applicator must be able to demonstrate that the galvanizing and powder coating has been applied at the same location as a continuous process and provide certification to this effect.
Graffiti Removal Solutions
Cleaning materials for use with the anti graffiti paint process
We have developed a unique graffiti removal product which should be used in conjunction with the process described above. This material is specially formulated from natural citrus oil derivatives which are less harmful and aggressive than most other types of graffiti remover. The liquid cleaning solution is environmentally friendly, biodegradable and unlike other solvent-based materials, will not burn the skin. It evaporates quickly and leaves a safe and clean surface which is completely harmless to children.
Designed to work in conjunction with Graffiti Coat
The Anti-Graffiti Response Kit has been designed to remove most graffiti types from the powder coated surface. The kit includes Graffiti Remover Spray, Multi Purpose Cleaner, Graffiti Wipes, Non Scratch Cleaning Pads, General Cleaning Pads, Heavy Duty Gloves and Safety Glasses.
